As part of the neurocritical care team, you will provide care forboth neurology and neurosurgery patients in the Neurosciences Intensive CareUnit.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:107%"><b>Compensation: </b>Competitivecompensation and reimbursement for travel.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in"><b><br></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in"><b>Qualifications:</b>Current licensure as a Nurse Practitionerin the state of Massachusetts.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0in"><b>Responsibilities:<o:p></o:p></b></p><ul><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute neurologicalconditions in a NeuroCritical Care setting.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Participate in patient care as part of a multidisciplinaryneurocritical care team, including attending physicians, fellows, residents,and other APPs.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Rounding with the critical care team to discuss and coordinate patientcare, including patient histories, comprehensive physical examinations, andconsultations with other specialties.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Implement treatment plans and communicate them to patients andfamilies, providing follow-up and education as needed.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Perform inpatient consultations and maintain detailed and accuratemedical records.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial lineplacement, intubation, lumbar punctures, and other similar tasks.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Staple/suture removal and placement</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Wound care and packing</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">NGT (Nasogastric Tube) placement</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Lumbar drain placement and removal</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 107%;">Spine braces and cervical collar placement and removal</li></ul>
